Every hero deserves hope—and no one should have to fight their battles alone

Who We Serve

Supporting Veterans and First Responders with PTSD

Service Peace Warriors provides highly trained service dogs, completely free of charge, to veterans and first responders living with PTSD, MST, and other service-connected disabilities across the Pacific Northwest.

Our mission is to help veterans and first responders find peace, confidence, and connection through the loyalty of a well-trained service dog. Service Peace Warriors supports honorably discharged U.S. veterans and first responders in good standing who are actively being treated for PTSD, MST, or related service-connected disabilities.

To qualify, applicants should:

  • Have a verified diagnosis of PTSD, MST, or another qualifying disability
  • Be under the care of a licensed healthcare or mental-health professional
  • Be able to participate in on-site training safely and independently
  • Be ready to commit to ongoing partnership and handler responsibilities

Our goal is to make hope accessible to every qualified veteran and first responder who needs it.

How It Works

From Application to Graduation

Our proven program guides each participant through every step—from paperwork to personalized training and long-term support.

1

Apply

Complete and submit the Service Dog Application and Release of Information (ROI) forms. Initial, sign, and date where indicated, then return via email or mail.

2

Get Matched

Each service dog is paired with its handler based on temperament, personality, and individual needs. We’ve learned that the best matches happen naturally—because the dog picks you.

“That bond of trust and understanding is where healing begins.”

3

Train Together

Training occurs on-site in Eltopia, Washington, where handlers work directly with their dogs in real-world environments.

Program Overview:

  • Minimum 8-week commitment
  • Three days per week (on-site and in-town sessions)
  • Practical daily living skills
  • Step-by-step coaching from certified trainers

Our peaceful rural campus offers a setting designed for focus, growth, and healing.

4

Graduate and Stay Connected

Graduates receive all gear, support, and resources for lasting success, including:

  • Leash, collar, vest, and training tools
  • Ongoing handler support and recertification
  • Invitations to SPW events and community gatherings

Out-of-Town Support

Travel Assistance for Out-of-Town Applicants

We want every eligible hero to have access to our program, no matter where they live.

While our previous hotel partnership has ended, we’re actively seeking new lodging partners to help veterans and first responders traveling for training.

If you need help finding accommodations—or if you’re a business interested in offering support—please contact us.
