Adopt a Release Dog
Not every dog is destined to become a service dog—but every one of them deserves a second chance at a happy life.
Why We Offer Release Dogs for Adoption
Every Dog Deserves a Purpose
Some dogs in our training program simply have different callings. They may be too playful, too independent, or prefer naps in the sunshine over the demands of service work—but they still have strong obedience and great socialization.
When you adopt from Service Peace Warriors, you’re giving a well-trained, well-loved dog a forever home while helping support our mission to provide free service dogs for veterans and first responders. By adopting one of our release dogs, you provide a loving home to a dog that’s received early training, enrichment, and care from our professional trainers and volunteers.
“Not every dog can serve a veteran—but every dog can serve a family.”
Each adoption fee helps fund future training for our service dogs, ensuring that your decision not only changes one life—but two.

Making an Impact Through Adoption
How Your Adoption Supports Our Mission
Every adoption fee goes directly back into training and caring for future service dogs.
That means your decision to adopt doesn’t just give a dog a home—it helps veterans and first responders find healing, stability, and hope.
“When you adopt a release dog, you help us continue our mission—saving lives four paws at a time.”
